Every so often during a live, Santa runs a prize moment. Here's how it works.

How a prize moment works

  1. Santa announces it

    Santa says on the live that a prize moment is on, the prize amount, and which name wins — for example, “the 500th name on the list wins!”

  2. Keep commenting

    Every comment with a first name, last name and city that makes it onto the list counts. The counter is shown on screen.

  3. A winner is called

    When the counter hits the number, Santa calls out the winner as it shows on the list (first name, last initial and city, like Emma S. of Denver) and contacts the winning TikTok account.

No purchase necessary. You never need to send a TikTok gift or buy anything to take part or to win.

  1. No purchase necessary. A purchase, TikTok gift or payment does not improve your chance of winning.
  2. Sponsor. Prize moments are run by David White (“Santa Live”). Contact: Email Santa.
  3. Who can win. The prize can only be claimed by an adult (18 or older) who is a legal resident of the United States. If a child's name is the winning entry, the prize goes to that child's parent or legal guardian, who must claim it. Santa Live's owner, helpers and their households cannot win.
  4. How to enter. During a live where Santa has announced a prize moment, post a comment with a first name, a last name and a city (for example “Emma Smith, Denver”). Each comment that is added to Santa's list counts as one entry. Comments that are not a name and city, or that break the terms, don't count.
  5. How the winner is picked. The winner is the entry that reaches the number Santa announced (for example, the 500th name added to the list), as counted by Santa's list software. Santa decides when a prize moment starts and ends.
  6. Prize. The prize and amount are announced on the live before the prize moment starts (for example, $50 or $100). How the prize is paid: [payment method to be decided]. Prizes can't be transferred or swapped.
  7. Claiming the prize. Santa contacts the winning TikTok account (Santa's private entry log keeps the TikTok username, full last name and city of each comment for this — for a comment from a child under 13, only the first name, last initial and city — and deletes them by January 31, 2027 — see the privacy policy). The adult claiming the prize must reply within 7 days and may be asked to confirm their age and identity. If the prize isn't claimed in time, it may be forfeited.
  8. Odds. Your chance of winning depends on how many people are commenting at the time.
  9. Taxes. Any taxes on a prize are the winner's responsibility.
  10. Privacy. On the live, a winner is named by first name, last initial and city only. Contact details collected to deliver a prize are used only for that and deleted afterwards. See the privacy policy.
  11. Not TikTok. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or run by TikTok. By taking part you release TikTok from any responsibility for it.
  12. General. Santa Live may cancel or change a prize moment if something goes wrong (for example, a technical fault or cheating). The governing law is that of California.
  13. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
